Dr. Gary Schmidt brings 30 years of experience working with top global companies in the areas of leadership assessment, executive development and team effectiveness. During this time he has been a business leader, a consultant and a researcher. Having worked as a senior level executive for Korn Ferry, YSC, Right Management and SHL, his perspective is diverse and comprehensive. He has recently returned to the US after seven years working in Singapore.
During his career, Dr. Schmidt has provided services to firms including Schneider Electric, HP, United Airlines, Microsoft, Becton Dickinson, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, HSBC, Diageo, Novartis, IHG (China), Dow Chemical, PrintPak, Pepsi Bottling Group, Sanofi, AT&T, Bayer, GSK, plus numerous emerging and mid-size companies.
Dr. Schmidt has a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Tulane University and a MBA from New York University. A native of eastern Iowa, Dr. Schmidt attended the University of Iowa as an undergraduate. In addition to building better leaders, he enjoys sailing, coffee roasting and brewing, cooking (and eating) and tomato gardening.
